I found a package of something that had Lip Repair in block letters on the package, as well as before and after pics of a set of lips…The before pic was pretty bad, the lips looking like the Gobi Desert after a particularly dry summer, but in the after pic they looked normal…I ripped the package open immediately after paying for it a self-checkout and BOOM! the effect was immediate moisturizing relief…

In 1998 – President of the United States Bill Clinton is impeached by the United States House of Representatives on one article of perjury and one article of obstruction of justice related to his conduct in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. A second perjury article and one of abuse of power failed to pass. Clinton would be acquitted at his trial by the United States Senate in February.
In 1917 – The National Hockey league (NHL) plays its first games ever with the Montreal Wanderers defeating the Toronto Arenas 10-9 and the Montreal Canadiens defeating the Ottawa Senators 7-4. The NHL replaced the National Hockey Association (NHA), and was originally scheduled to last for a year or so until the NHA could get back on its feet. Toronto defeated the Canadiens for the first NHL championship in a two-game total goals series 10-7 and would defeat the Vancouver Millionaires of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association for the Stanley Cup.
In 1970 – Smokey Robinson and the Miracles are at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the second an final week with The Tears of a Clown. The song had gone to #1 in Great Britain over the summer and also went to #1 on Billboard’s soul chart. It was the first #1 for the Miracles, who first hit the Hot 100 in 1959. Robinson soon left the group and The Tears of a Clown remains his only #1 appearance on the Hot 100 as a performer, though the Miracles would hit #1 again in 1975 with Love Machine – Part 1.
