The Diary of a Nobody: Sparrow has no idea how much some fancy soap at the sundry stand costs.
A conundrum because a bar of handcrafted soap made with water from one of our locally-sourced sacred streams could cost you ten bucks in some incense-infused craft store downtown…I was going to ask how much she wanted to pay but if you’re getting change for laundry at zero-dark-thirty you’re probably tired and not in the mood to play Name Your Price, so I charged her $7 for everything and even threw in a couple of detergent pods we keep in the back office – a $1 value – with my compliments.
