The Diary of a Nobody – There’s a ski team from China in-house, and Sparrow has noticed a Chinese gentleman in the lobby the past couple of nights. Today’s Diary.
I’ve worked enuff graveyard to recognize someone on the clock and trying to stay awake when I see one because every now and then he’d put his head on the table…He could be in charge of guarding the skis – or, perhaps, preventing defections – but if that’s the case he’s not on post and I don’t think a Chinese would risk being away from his post because they shoot people for things like that in China.
The Bottom Ten/NFL Week 15 – The Lions throw a wrench into the race for The Dan Henning Trophy – symbolic of NFL Bottom Ten supremacy – by winning.
Sure, there are three ten (10)-loss teams, but the Lions have a win and a tie, and in the what-have-you-done-for-me-lately Bottom Ten you’re only as good as your last loss, and both the Jaguars and the Texans got blown out last week.
While fatwa against coaching staff suspended, Khan still holding coaches’ kids hostage to ensure top effort in stretch run…
B-10 pollsters “strongly suspect” Lions first team in NFL history to start season 1-10-1…

The long march to today.
In 1980 – John Lennon, a former member of the Beatles, is shot to death outside his New York City apartment by Mark David Chapman. Lennon had arrived home at about 10:50 pm after spending the evening at a recording studio when Chapman shot him in the back from about ten feet away, with Lennon later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Chapman would later plead guilty to second-degree murder, had been denied parole eleven times and remains incarcerated in upstate New York.
In 1940 – The Chicago Bears establish NFL records for most points and the largest margin of victory in an NFL game, defeating the Washington Redskins 73-0 in the NFL Championship Game in Washington, D.C. The Bears also established NFL records with eight interceptions and 382 rushing yards, marks later broken and which remain NFL postseason records. The single-game points and margin of victory records still stand. The game was also the first NFL title game to be broadcast nationwide on radio, with Red Barber calling the action for Mutual Radio.
In 1979 – Styx is at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the first of two consecutive weeks with Babe. The song also went to #1 in Canada and South Africa, peaked at #6 in Great Britain and due to when it charted was Billboard’s 20th-biggest hit of 1980. It was the eighth Top 40 hit for the group, their third Top 10 hit and remains their only #1 song. The song was not intended to be put on an album, with the original demo track being used, with additional guitar work added later.

The wisdom of the ages. Whatever.
It is more important to know where you are going than to get there quickly. Do not mistake activity for achievement.

Answer To The Last Trivia Question
Knowledge is power.
