Today At The Site
The Diary of a Nobody: At the hotel, one of the coffee pots is filled with poison, and Sparrow interviews for the county’s vacant veteran service officer postion. Today’s Diary.

The two women interviewing me were my age and I was funny and affable as if we were enjoying drinks at a singles bar…Most of the time I’ve interviewed for work it was because I needed the job, but not only do I not need this job, I didn’t particularly want it, recall I only applied because Stanko and Rick at the Legion thought I’d do well at it and, of course, our vets deserve top-notch service.

Criminals, Courtesans, and Constables: We hope are as excited as we are about the impending release of my latest novel. It’s about a criminal who runs courtesans who runs afoul of the law, though it is for something he didn’t do. It’s funny and thoughtful, just like the crap you read here every day.

For the first time, Seward understood the nature of Lincoln’s political genius. He had been able to make himself absolute dictator without ever letting anyone suspect that he was anything more than a timid, joking backwoods lawyer.
